REVIEW: Rosette White Clay Cleansing Paste from Japan

I received this white clay cleansing paste from Kanae in my first Japanese swap last year and fell in love with it. Kanae mentioned it was one of her faves and I could instantly see why!

The product comes out dense and thick, but not soapy or sticky. A small dollop is all that's needed to lather over the face for a deep cleaning. I loved how it was unscented, and not abrasive. It left my skin feeling squeaky clean but not dried out. White clay absorbs excess sebum (the stuff that makes skin oily), and gently exfoliates dead cells. It's suitable for most skin types, even sensitive skin.

When I ran out of the tube she sent me, I was lucky enough to find a store in a nearby asian mall (Pacific Mall - Markham, ON Canada) that stocked it. This is now a staple in my cleansing routine.

What are your favourite cleansers?

  1. Sounds awesome <3 I really love asian face products. Have the "Missha Super Aqua Oxygen Micro Visible Deep Cleanser" ('perfect' name XD) and I really love it. First it is a gel, but on the face it become light foam, everything on the dry skin.

  4. Hey, I was looking for a review on this cleanser and stumbled upon your blog! I think I'm gonna love the texture. White clay cleanser, I'm sold!
Currently I'm using probably a similar product, Etude House Happy Fresh Foam in White Clay cleanser and so far it's working great.
Do drop by my blog sometime, yeah!
    xx, Mira
